What personal data I collect and why I collect it

To complete your order, you need to provide certain personal information, such as your name, email address, postal address, and the details of the product you are purchasing. You may also choose to provide additional personal information (for example, for a custom jewellery order) if you contact me directly.

If you subscribe to my mailing list, your email address will only be used with your explicit consent.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on this website, I collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, in order to help detect spam.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Contact forms

If you contact me using a form on this website, the data you submit will only be used to respond to your enquiry and will not be used for marketing purposes without your consent.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on this website, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These cookies are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and log in to this website, a temporary cookie will be set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies will be set to save your login information and your screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Articles on this website may include embedded content (for example, videos, images or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

How I share your information

Your information is important to me, and I only share your personal data for very limited purposes and in specific circumstances, such as the following:

Service providers (delivery companies).
I work with trusted third parties to perform certain functions and provide services for my shop, such as delivery companies. I only share your personal information with these third parties to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Email marketing platforms.
I use email marketing services (such as MailerLite) to manage subscriptions and send communications.

Google Analytics.
I use Google Analytics to analyse website usage. Data is retained for up to 26 months.

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically instead of being held in a moderation queue.

For users who register on this website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this website or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include data that I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
