About KimyaJewels

THE WORD

The word alchemy comes from the Arabic al-kimiya, and that’s where the name Kimya comes from. Of all its meanings, the one I hold onto most is transmutation — the idea of change. That’s what jewelry represents to me: transforming raw material into small, intentional objects. Through handmade artisan jewelry, I explore that transformation — with freedom, purpose, and a deep respect for the process.

CREATIVITY

Since I was a child, I’ve been driven by curiosity — wanting to understand how things were made, where they came from, how they were built. As I grew older, I explored many creative paths: ceramics, ironwork, silk painting… until I found myself — almost by chance — in the world of jewelry. And there, I discovered an endless field for learning and creating.I see myself more as a builder. I like working with metal, shaping ideas around it.Gemstones, in all their infinite variety, are an essential part of my creative process. I love the act of choosing them — touching, selecting, feeling their energy. Each one has a unique character and inspires me to create something that begins with what they already are.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

I design and make each piece in my studio, using traditional jewelry-making techniques and artisanal finishes. I'm drawn to the kind of imperfections that speak — the texture left by the tools, the trace of the gesture.Handmade artisan jewelry allows me to create without filters, from a place that is both physical and emotional. Every detail is carefully considered, so each piece carries beauty and quality that lasts over time. There’s something special about objects made by hand. They have a different presence — you can feel the human touch, as if they hold something of the person who created them. These are pieces that connect.

MY DEAR CUSTOMERS

A piece of jewelry isn’t complete until someone chooses it. That’s when it gains meaning — when it finds its place. That connection between the piece and the person who wears it is, to me, the most valuable part of this work. Over the years, I’ve received messages full of kindness and sensitivity. Your words inspire me and give me the strength to keep creating, day after day.Thank you for being on the other side — for making it possible for Kimya to remain a living, meaningful project.
I’ve put together a selection of some of my Favorite Pieces.
These are creations that, for one reason or another, resonate with me in a special way and stay with me beyond the making process.
Maybe something in them will speak to you too.
